CUSCO IN

Arrival in the city of Cusco, welcome, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the morning rest for acclimatization.

Day 2

DAY 2: FULL DAY SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

Breakfast at the hotel

We start with the pick up from your hotel between 8:00 to 8:30 in the morning towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, first point, Pisac, an important archaeological complex located on top of a steep hill, with huge platforms (or terraces) and Inca temples of solid and perfect construction. We visit the artisan market of Pisac, one of the best known in Peru and at noon we will have lunch buffet style in an excellent tourist restaurant in the town of Urubamba. We continue to Ollantaytambo, with its large walls and ancient canals, considered one of the few villages continuously inhabited since the time of the Incas. There you can explore the huge fortress, once a place of legendary battles and ancestral religious ceremonies. The tour concludes in Chinchero, with its attractive square, ancient Inca walls and a beautiful landscape of agricultural fields, peaks and snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera. We return to your hotel in Cusco around 19 hrs approximately.

Day 3

FULL DAY HISTORIC SANCTUARY OF MACHUPICCHU

Leaving early from your hotel with our tourist mobility, we arrive at the train station of Ollantaytambo to have a 2-hour trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, From there we will have a short bus trip will take us to the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu, one of the wonders of the ancient world. As you stroll through the complex, you will be able to admire the impressive architecture. While our guide will share interesting theories about the history and importance of Machu Picchu for the Incas. The great views and magic of the place are incomparable. After two hours of tour you will have free time to know or rest and take the energies of this great place. Coordinated time we go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, and finally we take the train back to Cusco, where our transfer and mobility will be waiting for you to transport you to your hotel.

Day 4

FULL DAY LAGUNA HUMANTAY

A real mountain excursion, the tour starts leaving your hotel between 4:00 and 4:30 am, we travel to the quiet village of Mollepata, and continue to the valley of Soraypampa. After breakfast and a break, we start the 7 km hike (round trip) to the lagoon, enjoying great views of the majestic Nevado Humantay (4,200 m.a.s.l.m.) along the way. We arrived at the lovely Humantay Lagoon in an hour and a half to two hours, depending on the pace of the hike. On the shores of the lagoon, the tranquility of its waters and the imposing views of the snow-capped mountain lend themselves to an extraordinary experience. We will also see the well-known Nevado Salkantay at the bottom of the valley, both on the way out and on the return. We will have lunch and you will have time to rest and take many photos before embarking on the return to Cusco, at the end of a beautiful day of hiking in the Andes.

Day 5

HALF DAY CITY TOUR CUSCO + QORICANCHA & 04 RUINAS ARQUEOLÓGICAS + CUSCO OUT

You will start the tour at the Qoricancha, legendary Temple of the Sun and main ceremonial place of the Inca Empire, which, together with the Convent of Santo Domingo, boast a fascinating combination of Inca and colonial architecture. You will follow the venerable Cathedral of Cusco, with its wonderful altars carved in various colonial styles and splendid paintings of the Cusco School of Colonial Art. Then you will climb to the heights of the city, to the impressive archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, one of the greatest works of the Incas, where gigantic walls of megalithic stones are perfectly placed, and the best views of the city of Cusco are appreciated. From there we visit Qenqo, ancient place of ceremonies and sacrifices, followed by the Inca military post of Pucapucara (or red stone). You will take a break in an artisan center to enjoy our Inka Tea, a pleasant snack time. Finally, you will visit Tambomachay, the Fountain of the Inca, an ancient place of veneration of water and rain.

At the end of the tour, the transfer will be made to the Velasco Astete International Airport to board the flight back to the city of origin.
